Most affordable are out by Broad (near airport) or outside of SLO proper. I live in Arroyo Grande (12 miles south of SLO) and I paying the same amount in rent per month for a 2 bed/1.5 bath townhouse as a student renting a single room in SLO. The commute into town isn bad at all (nothing compared to LA) and you get a view of the beach for half of the way.The community is dog friendly, but housing is a bit limited in that respect unless you renting a house.All the above.
