[T]here’s no way, no way on this earth, for Mr. Kunco to explain how his tooth marks got on Donna Seaman’s shoulder unless you accept the fact that he’s the one who attacked and brutalized Mrs. Seaman. A local NLP company had also taken a chance on hiring me in January, knowing that I was looking to improve my skills by applying to grad school, and I sure that was a big factor in my application, so it turned out to be a nice symbiotic relationship. In Linguistics and only decided I wanted to get into NLP after I graduated, so I took some programming and statistics courses at a community college and then applied to grad school. I ended up getting into the UW Compling program that londubhawc mentioned, although my application was strengthened by an internship that I was underqualified for at the time, and that I was lucky to land.
Poland made it to the semifinals, edging out the Soviet Union, a satisfying achievement in any season but especially that of martial law, which many people believed had been ordered from Moscow. Nothing had changed in the country; democracy wouldn’t come for another seven years. But Poles had been given a brief, bright reprieve from their grim reality, and an American who had shared it with them had become a World Cup fan for life..
This is what bothers me about this sub. I constantly find myself getting attacked because I point out something is misleading/clickbait. Which is dumb to even have to do because he such a shitshow. Good morning. I’m David Greene with a request. If you ever hear a host on air from this studio chewing gum, let me know.
For cities, giving incentives to retailers doesn’t always work out as planned. While the company initially accepted the offer, a few months later it decided to close the Kmart anyway. The building remains vacant to this day, with Buffalo green lighting plans for an Aldi discount supermarket to take over the space only this past summer..
There a case to be made that some people who have come to regret speaking to news outlets did not fully understand that what they said will live on indefinitely thanks to the Web. Perhaps if that had been made clear to them they would have declined to be interviewed, been more careful about what they said or at the very least would have had no reason to object later. After sampling opinions from various parts of the newsroom, it obvious there is no magical sentence that works in all situations and it clear that long explanations are not always necessary, possible or helpful. This note is not intended to cover reporting done in war zones or situations when stopping to have a long conversation about the long tail of the Web isn safe or practical. Getting the permission of parents or guardians to interview minors is also a separate subject (and we make it clear when we get such consent that the material will be on the Web). With those caveats in mind, we obviously start conversations that hopefully will turn into interviews by identifying ourselves.
